Rodas

Rodas - Rigging, Enveloping.... Almost done

E aqui está a personagem RODAS quase, quase, quase com vida!
Ainda falta aperfeiçoar o enveloping e fazer umas blendshapes para ajudar a animação e acabar as synoptic views e  finalmente o Rodas poderá entrar em acção! Mal posso esperar :D

Here it is the character named Rodas (wheels in english) and he is almost ready to become alive!
I still need to twick the enveloping, create some blendshapes to help me in the animation and finish the synoptic views and by then I finally will be able to say "Action!" to Rodas! I just can't wait. :D

NCCA Master Project (MA 3D Computer Animation - NCCA Bournemouth University 2011/2012.

 Synopsis:
This project tells the story of Blue, a boy who is trying to overcome a huge obstacle – to reach the top of a cliff. After managing to overcome the hard escalade, Blue eventually reaches the top. However, there are other stranger, bigger dangers awaiting him that he could have never known of.
This adventure story is going to be told in the form of a stylized 3D animation and in an implied way talks about appearances and the difficulties in life.

Festivals:
- ANIWOW! 2012 Festival (Beijing - China) - Passed till the last fase of the competition
- MONSTRA 2013 (Lisbon - Portugal)

The Play was a SUCCESS!

Um obrigada a todos os que foram ver a peça de teatro do Express'ar-te - "Frei Luís de Sousa - A Comédia". 
Soube que foi um grande sucesso e que conseguira encher a enorme sala de espectáculos do Teatro José Lúcio da Silva.
Aqui deixo alguma fotos da peça com as várias animações projectadas que foram da minha autoria:

A big thank you to everybody that came to see the play of Express'ar-te - "Frei Luís de Sousa - The Comedy." 
I heard it was a great success and they managed to full fill the huge José Lúcio da Silva Theatre auditorium.

Animação projectada em ecrã de cinema

Mais uma vez a peça de teatro Frei Luís de Sousa - A Comédia encenada pelo o clube de teatro Express'ar-te vai estar presente em palco este ano.

Por isso para quem está por Leiria e tem curiosidade em ir ver a animação que fiz para acompanhar a peça, que se desloque no dia 28 de Janeiro às 3:30H ao Teatro José Lúcio da Silva.

If on 28th Jan at 3:30 you are in Portugal in a city named Leiria you can watch an animation I did for a drama club to be played along with the play Frei Luís de Sousa - the comedy. This will be shown in a very huge cinema theater.

Good day today! I was just looking for some magazines and suddenly I just saw my work published in 3D Artist magzine for the 2nd time! :D
Although the image it's pretty small I'm very happy ehehehe

  E é pela segunda vez que vejo o meu trabalho publicado na revista 3D Artist! Embora desta vez ocupe pouca área da página... deixa-me bastante contente!

I have been busy trying to update my website in my spare time after work.
It's almost updated. I just have to finish to up upload some videos.

I use to be very happy with the layout I created for my website, but now I'm starting to feel that I need to work more on it again! I want to change its design completely (when have time).

Pois é, nunca mais me lembrei disto...
Estava hoje a passear pela net e descobri esta fotografia com um dos meus trabalhos expostos no Anigamix, no Porto.
A Zona Monstra que contém um dos meus trabalhos foi premiada na categoria de Melhor Projecto em BD
O meu trabalho é aquele que tem um setinha vermelha por baixo.

This image shows one of my jobs exposed in the event Anigamix in Porto (Portugal).

Zona Monstra, is the magazine in which I'm participating permiada was awarded for the category of "Best Comics project"

Peço desculpa por ter apagado o post que fiz à uns minutos, mas talvez tenha hipotese de mandar isto para um festival por isso vou aguardar mais um pouco antes de o publicar.

So here it is I update the animatic for the last time and animate my character!

My first time

Today I had the opportunity to "play" with Mari. Here it is  what I did...just a quick texture. 

For me, it is easier and more intuitive to do in Mari than in Zbrush. Although I recognize that it as a lot of bugs and it's crashing all the time.

Hoje, tive a oportunidade de "brincar" com o Mari. Aqui está o que eu fiz ...  uma textura simples.

Achei que Mary é mais fácil e intuitivo de aprender do que o Zbrush. Embora reconheço que ainda esteja um pouco aquém, porque ainda apresenta muitos bugs,  está sempre a ir abaixo, entre outras limitações técnicas.

E pela 4ªvez, o meu trabalho vai ser exibido durante uma peça de teatro do clube Express'ar-te.

Amanhã, Sexta-Feira, no IPJ de Leira, às 16h. 

Para os interessados em ir lá espreitar, penso que já não vai ser possível, porque os "bilhetes" estão esgotados.
